Lady's-mantle
Alchemilla vulgaris

There are more than 200 microspecies of Lady's-mantle known to exist which makes them very difficult to differentiate. These perennials, that are members of the rose family, all show off the same silky, grey-green leaves that repel water and collect sparkling dewdrops. They are found in both grassy and rocky places, meadows, woodland margins and at streamsides and can grow at both high and low altitudes. The tiny greeny-yellow flowers, which bloom from May through to September, have four sepals but no petals.
