Purple Toadflax
Linaria purpurea

Originating from southern Italy, this strong, sturdy plant is becoming increasingly common on roadsides and rubbish tips and along walls and pavements, close to human habitation. The plant has very narrow linear leaves and fairly dense spikes of small snapdragon-like flowers which are usually purple but sometimes pink.
