Common Field Speedwell
Veronica persica

Introduced into Europe in the early 19th century, the Common Field Speedwell has a sky blue flower with radiating veins and a white centre on a long, slender, hairy stalk. The lowest of the four petals is smaller than the others and is usually white. It flowers all the year round and is found in fields, roadsides and waste places.
