Common Vetch
Vicia sativa

Common Vetch is found in cultivated fields, wasteland, roadsides, banks and scrub. It was introduced from southern Europe as fodder crop for cattle. The ladder-like leaves are divided with each leaflet having a point at the tip. The flowers usually come in pairs but are occasionally singular and can be a vivid pink to a deep purple.
